Skeletonized remains of a Caucasian female were found in Brooklyn, New York on March 29, 1993. The female was found on a hillside near the intersection of Junius St. and E New York Ave. which is located near the Long Island Railroad Atlantic Terminal - Nostram Ave train stop. The female had been deceased for at least 6 months before being found. She is estimated to be 18-25 years old and stood approximately 5’6” tall. Her hair color, eye color and weight are unknown. She was found wearing a black floral print shirt reading "Total Impact", a "Maidenform" brand bra (size 34B), "Lee" brand jeans, a vinyl belt, thermal underwear, white panties, white athletic socks, and green "Reebok" brand high top sneakers (size 4). A digital reconstruction of the sneaker is shown above. The female had dental work done in life. She had some dental fillings and showed evidence of having braces or orthodontics earlier in life. The images above are a facial reconstruction completed by an art student at the NY Academy of Art and depicts what the female may have looked like in life.

size four is extremely small foot for a 5"6 woman. possibly boy's shoes? but then shed still only be a women's 5 1/2 which is still small. hmmmm.

also she was wearing long johns but not a coat? its possible someone took her coat though.

I wonder if the label on the shoes was damaged and it may have been the european size? 40 would be a US size 8.5 which would make much more sense. I'm 5'2" and a size 6.5. Even for my height my feet are tiny. I think I'd fall over if I was a size 5.5 and this girl was much taller than me.

Haha, I'm 5'2" and wear a size 5.5 shoe. But the size 4 stood out to me, too. That is TINY, especially for someone approximately 5'6".

I'm 5'7 and a UK size 5. Sometimes a 4, or even a 3, depending on the brand. My male cousin is 5'10 and a size 5! Small feet run in the family, but it's not noticeable at all visually. It's not that unusual

i wonder if she wasnt actually 56 inches tall?

Here is a sculpted facial reconstruction of this Jane Doe, created by an art student at the New York Academy of Art.

I know that Dawn Miller has DNA in the system, as does this Jane Doe. But she sure looks like a pretty solid possible. Her unusual facial shape is very similar.

And the comparisons are pretty solid too.

I submitted Dawn Miller as a possible for this Jane Doe. Sent by email to Lori Bruski, Amy Dobbs, Ben Figura, and Kenneth Mains (Lycoming County DAOffice).

Just a quick note that this LIRR stop is surrounded by auto body shops and halal meat markets. It is not particularly residential and was a predominantly black neighborhood in 1993. It seems unlikely that she was a nearby resident - she could have been passing through from Long Island (and got off the train for some reason), or was dumped there. Its certainly possible she was a local from elsewhere in Brooklyn, but I have a strong feeling she wasn't a resident of that immediate area.

How many missing people of that age were reported from New York in 1992

My sister is 5'8" and wore 3's for years.
