GUILTY Al - Aiden Howard, 6, Killed By Suv Driven Into His Home, 12 Feb 2015

A 6-year-old Alabama boy was pronounced dead Sunday after a man who had previously set a dog on fire crashed his SUV into the child, police said. Aiden Howard had been in critical condition since he was struck by the vehicle on Feb. 12th. The suspect, 28-year-old Juan Daniels, remains on the run, WSFA reports.

Police said Daniels was fighting with a man in an apartment complex in Montgomery. The suspect allegedly tried to run over the man, but instead crashed into an apartment, striking the child instead. Police said Daniels then fled on foot.

Daniels was convicted of brutally beating his mother's pit bull, then setting the dog on fire, in 2007.

A Montgomery man, charged with killing a little boy after intentionally ramming his SUV into an apartment complex, has been indicted.

According to court documents, Juan Daniels, 30, has been indicted on charges of capital murder and attempted murder.

A Montgomery County jury convicted Juan Daniels of capital murder Wednesday in the death of 6-year-old Aiden Howard, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

Daniels was also found guilty of attempted murder for trying to run over his stepson, Kendarius Arrington.

Daniels faces an automatic life sentence without parole for the capital murder conviction, and 10-99 years to life for the attempted murder conviction. His sentencing hearing is set for June 25.

Juan Daniels, convicted of capital murder in the death of 6-year-old Aiden Howard, has been sentenced to life without parole.

Daniels was sentenced Monday in a Montgomery County courtroom. Along with life without parole, Daniels was also sentenced to serve 20 years for the attempted murder of Kendarious Arrington.
