CASS COUNTY, Ind. - Investigators renewed their plea for help in solving the murder of a couple nearly three decades ago in Cass County.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office said authorities are still looking for the public's help in finding the killer of Anthony and Lois Tolleson, a Burlington couple gunned down 28 years ago Sunday.

Investigators said that on Feb. 22, 1987, officers headed to a report of a car on fire at the intersection of two Cass County roads (50 East and 300 South - see map below).

When they arrived, they found Lois lying on the ground (roughly 10 feet from the car) in a pool of blood. She had been shot twice: once in the shoulder and once in the head.
