Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

There was a similar case in VT recently, IIRC, posted a link on the Jessica Chambers thread. Small town, burned car, and the poor women who owned it is still missing. Le had searched a home, I think. No updates.

Sounds like a strange pyro in VA too, captured though

I must say that I'm so glad to finally see more information on this missing woman...Very interesting story...

Alabama missing woman remains a mystery
VERNON, Ala. (WTVA) -- Billie Nalls is desperate for answers.

"We miss our baby, and her children need her. Please, somebody come forward with Keshia to give us some information. We want everybody to pray for us and to pray for the family," said Nalls.

It's been two weeks since Keshia Turner disappeared. Her family is wanting answers. Friends have no idea what's going on. Everyone wants information.

Keshia's friend, Carmen Pinkerton, and Keshia's cousin, Jomanda Turner, have circulated her picture in search of information.

"My worst fear is that she's not gonna come home. People are going to keep their mouth shut and not say what they need to say to bring her home and give the family some kind of closure," said Pinkerton.

Pinkerton says little is known about what led to Keshia's disappearance. She says investigators have told her that a back window to the home was broken and blood was found inside.

The car she was driving was found burned in Lowndes County, which is about a 40-minute drive from Vernon.

Vernon mother of three missing for almost a month
VERNON, Ala. (WIAT) ó A Northwest Alabama mother vanishes leaving behind three children. Investigators are still trying to locate Keshia Turner.

Investigators are looking into any information or tip that will help them find Turner. Tips like the one that lead authorities to Turnerís burned out car in a Mississippi community 40 minutes from her home town of Vernon, Alabama.

Friends and family of Turner put flyers up after she went missing on February 19th. Turnerís friend Carmen Pinkerton said things like this donít happen in Vernon.

Nearly a month later, the flyers are still up, but Turner hasnít been found. Investigators are still trying to figure out where the mother of three is located. Turner posted on Facebook that she was engaged shortly before she went missing.

ďTheyíre following up any potential lead, every potential person of interest,Ē said District Attorney Chris McCool. He tells me Vernon police are using every resource they have available.

ďThe best outcome to this would be for her to come back alive,Ē said McCool. He said thatís still the hope of all investigators. Turnerís case is still classified as a missing person.

The community of Vernon is doing what it can to help spread turnerís picture and information.

she was engaged shortly before she went missing
That is a time when homicides involving domestic violence tend to happen when there's an ex.

Video: Ex-Husband Charged With Capital Murder In Vernon Woman’s Disappearance
    May 5, 2015
    http://www.wcbi.com/local-news/ex-hu...disappearance/
VERNON, Ala. (WCBI) – The ex-husband of a missing Vernon, Alabama woman is charged with capital murder.

The arrest warrant for Brandon Sykes, 33, was issued on Tuesday.

He had been in the Pickens County jail on interference with custody and aggravated stalking charges in connection with 29 year-old Keisha Turner’s disappearance.

District Attorney Chris McCool says those charges have now been dropped because of the new charge of capital murder.

If convicted, Sykes faces life without parole or the death penalty.

Sources close to the investigation say Turner’s body has not been found.
