The Washtenaw County Medical Examiner's office is bringing in some additional experts to help them with the process of determining Julia Niswender's cause of death. That's the word from Ypsilanti police, who also say they're following up on leads they've received, but can't offer any additional details. Niswender's death is being investigated as a possible homicide.

family is angry and frustrated over delays

    (((I am too! )))

More than four weeks have passed since police found EMU junior Julia Niswender's body in her off-campus Ypsilanti apartment. But police have nothing new to say about the apparent murder, John Counts reports at AnnArbor.com

"We are still awaiting results from toxicology, forensic laboratory analysis and a final autopsy report," said a release Wednesday afternoon.

The lack of information about the death of Niswender, a 23-year-old communications major, is tough for her family, a spokesman says.

Ypsilanti police are continuing to investigate the death of Eastern Michigan University student Julia Niswender and are awaiting some test results.

Police are also continuing to interview a number of people in connection to the case, according to an updated press release sent out Wednesday afternoon by the Ypsilanti Police Department.

The EMU junior was found dead in her off-campus apartment on Dec. 11. Few new details have become available since the autopsy determined there were no signs of trauma on Niswender's body, but there were indicators of possible foul play.

Investigators are still waiting for results from the toxicology test, forensic laboratory analysis, and the final autopsy report, according to the police update. Police say as more information becomes available, further updates will be provided for the public.

The most recent article on the Detroit WXYZ-TV web site says near the end "There were no signs of trauma to her body, and the door to her bedroom was locked from inside". Did the person then leave through a window since the apartment is on the first floor and the windows are very low to the ground? or through the door and locked it?
