Dick Huber, enjoying a game of golf at Myakka Pines club in Sarasota, Florida, didn't stand much chance of getting a hole in one. There was a slight obstacle in the way.

Apparently, the new member didn't stay long - it's the mating season and it didn't spot any suitable partners in the middle of the golf course.

The game goes alot faster when you don't have to putt.

Oh dear, the gator is back on the golf course but this time he's eating a giant turtle. That's sad, I like turtles.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 14', would be my guess.

I'd bet any amount of money that he's no less than 10'. They don't even start looking thick in the body until about 10'.

For comparison, here's an 8' gator:



Notice that his body just doesn't look thick and bulky like the golf course gator.

Here's how you estimate a gator's length -- the distance in inches from front of eyes to nose ridge is the gator's length in feet -- i.e., 8" from eyes to nose means it's an 8' gator:



The golf course gator looks to me to be at least 12', and 14' would be plausible. He's a big boy. I see gators in the wild all the time, but I rarely see one that big.
