Picasso's electrician gets suspended sentence for stealing 271 artworks

Pablo Picasso's former electrician has received a two-year suspended sentence for stealing and hiding 271 of the artist's works in his garage, for 40 years.

Pierre Le Guennec and his wife Danielle, who received the same suspended sentence at the court in Grasse, France, Friday, claimed the paintings were a gift from the artist's wife. The works have been seized and returned to the Picasso estate.
