A parolee bit off part of a police officer's finger during a routine traffic stop in Brooklyn, police said.
Doctors at Bellevue Hospital last night were working to re-attach the finger.

The attack began when the officer, whose name was withheld, spotted David O'Brien, 33, of Brooklyn in a stolen, double-parked van at Pitkin Avenue and Amboy Street in Brownsville at 6 p.m., cops said.

When the cop and his partner started to question O'Brien, he allegedly ran off.
