    Man Tortures Blind Diabetic Wife

This story was on Court TV website. His wife is blind and a diabetic. He would intentionally put her in a diabetic coma and suffocate her for sexual gratification. What a sick b**tard!!! His poor wife.

I was astounded when I read this.

But what really got me, is that the state(Michigan) that this happened in, has no law on the books that support a charge of human torture.

There is a law on the books against animal torture, but not humans.

It was not attempted murder, as he did not intend to murder her.

So the charge was "abuse" against a vulnerable adult.

That charge may carry more of a possible jail sentence than an aggravated assault charge - at least I hope so!

It would depend on how many counts that he is convicted on.

If I remember correctly, it was 17 charges which could mean life in jail.

Which I hope it does..............and will

How can it not be attempted murder if he put her in a diabetic coma purposely?
He would have to inject an inordinate amount of insulin into her to obtain 'coma' status, and that's attempted murder in my opinion.

Toby I thought the same thing. He knew how to put her in a coma and the life threatening situation she would be in. To me that's like feeding someone arsenic, you know it could kill someone. I think there have been people charged with attempted murder, even if the person didn't die from the poison. Seems he should be charged with attempted murder.
