    15-year-old Critical Missing Girl NR15103ne
Los Angeles: The family of Kimberly Greenberg and the Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific Area detectives are asking for the public's help in locating Kimberly.

Kimberly was last seen on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, around 8:00 p.m., in the 11200 Block of Westminster Avenue in the City of Los Angeles. Kimberly is currently taking medication and her family is extremely concerned. Kimberly has not contacted any family member. Kimberly is diagnosed with autism.
And because I'd not noticed this on very many cases in the past, they're now including how you can even submit Crimestoppers tips via text - wow have things changed!

Tipsters may also contact Crime Stoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone. All text messages should begin with the letters "LAPD."

Seems LAPD is hitting twitter with this today because it's suddenly flooding my twitter feed on all the LA connected news stations and LA (and surrounding areas) scanner twitter feed sites.

Most are retweeting this LAPD one, others posting the info (thankfully most also using the pic embedded into the tweet which tends to help attract attention)

Mar Vista autistic teen has now been missing for a week
MAR VISTA - Police continued their search Tuesday for a teenager missing for the past week from her home in Mar Vista.

Kimberly Greenberg, 15, has not been seen since last Tuesday, when she went missing around 8 p.m. from her home in the 11200 block of Westminster Avenue.

Family members are concerned because she takes medication for autism and has not made contact with them since she disappeared.

Los Angeles Police Department Lt. Daniel Gonzales said officers would continue to search the area today but were hoping Kimberly would contact her family of her own accord.

15-YEAR-OLD MAR VISTA GIRL WITH AUTISM MISSING
Because she has autism, Kimberly can be very trusting and has the mental capacity of an 8-year-old, her mother said. This may have gotten her into trouble.

"It's like if somebody says, 'Can you come here,' or 'Can you do this,' she may do it, depending on her state of mind," Greenberg said, adding that she is concerned she may have gotten into a car with a stranger.

Greenberg said police officers are now checking in with her several times a day, but she says that was not the case last week.

"I want them to find my daughter. I want them to do what I feel they should be doing, and I'm not sure that was done soon enough," said Janice Greenberg, Kimberly's mother.

There are many bus lines around this area, it it's not too uncommon for lenient bus drivers to allow children to ride without a fare (they don't have money, lost it, etc.).

This recreation area is quite large, and located in the middle of quite a few busy intersections of WLA.

    http://www.laparks.org/dos/reccenter...marVistaRC.htm

For what it's worth, the residential area is quite affluent in nature (Richard Sterling owns a street of property in this neighborhood), and homes reach into from 850k-10mil range.

There are a bit of apartments southeast of Palms and Sawtelle that kids from UCLA board at, and the row of them usually extend all the way to Venice Blvd (south of the rec center).

There is water near this area as well (Palms and Sawtelle).

This is such a large city, that if she boarded the bus, she could be anywhere.

Is it confirmed she went to the park? Earlier reporting is saying she was on Westminster, which is a residential street.

I worry about the one thing saying she may be in the company of an adult male...

Wish they said if it was a known male or a complete stranger or why they even think that!

Police, family search for missing autistic teen
Los Angeles police have asked for the public's help finding a missing autistic teen who was last seen by her family over a week ago. Kimberly Greenberg, 15, has been missing since leaving her home on Westminster Avenue in Los Angeles around 8:00 p.m. on March 24 to go for a walk near the Mar Vista Recreation Center.

She did not take her medication or her phone with her, and she has not made contact with any family members. Police say her family is extremely concerned for her safety.

Kimberly's mother told CNN affiliate KTLA that the teen has been diagnosed with autism, is very trusting, and has the mental capacity of an 8-year-old.

Police have categorized Kimberly as a "critical missing" child and are seeking any possible leads regarding her whereabouts.

Kimberly's family has set up a Facebook page to assist with the search.
