SD - Lincoln Hilt, 6, Riverside Park in Yankton, 5 April 2015

Child missing at Yankton park along Missouri River
YANKTON - A child went missing Sunday evening at a park along the Missouri River in Yankton, according to city officials.

The search started around 7:00 p.m. Witnesses say a number of emergency service vehicles responded to Riverside Park as part of a search for a 6-year-old boy.

Crews gathered around 6:30 a.m. Monday at a nearby boat ramp to resume the search. An official with the Yankton Parks and Recreation Department said that ramp had been the launching point of the search.

"The boy is described as having blonde hair, and was last seen wearing tan pants, a green shirt, tan shoes, and glasses. His name has not been released."

Above quote is from the link, a very vague description of this little chap, and why no name released?! Seems very odd!

It doesn't sound as if LE is holding out much hope. So sad, probably out enjoying Easter with family.

Yankton County Sheriff's Office believes that a child fell into the river in Yankton on Sunday.

Police Chief Brian Paulsen said the 6-year-old boy has not been located. Paulsen said the investigation has moved into recovery mode.

In a case like this, there really isn't any point in posting the name or even a picture of the boy. That just causes people to start posting on their facebook pages and opining about watchful parenting.

    Very sad.

What a shock to see that coat on another little ginger boy who has turned up missing. There aren't many details about this little guy yet. I hope they find him safe soon.
