Is her baby missing?

I was worried about this also. It seems like the picture with the baby is from quite a while ago, because I found some info -that WS won't let me link to here - but I think I'm allowed to give you the gist so you can be as relieved as I was.

It explained that due to her "challenges" Ashley was unable to raise her baby "Marie". It also says that ever since she was an infant Marie has been living with/is safe with her aunt and uncle. There is a also a picture of the darling little Marie, who looks to be about 4 or 5 maybe, is cute as a button, holding onto her Grandpa.

So even with knowing what happened to Ashley, at least we don't have to dread what happened to the baby.

RIP Ashley :(

Identification was made official.

Sheriff’s Department Lead Investigator Wesley Aaron said anthropologist Matt Williamson of Georgia Southern University assisted with identifying the remains as human and that there was evidence on the scene indicating that the body had been burned. The remains were sent to the GBI crime lab where they were confirmed as those of Ms. Lovett on Monday

RIP Ashley.

Oglesby said Wednesday the remains left after the burning were very few and consisted of bone and teeth fragments. DNA taken from a baby born to Ashley Lovett is being compared to that of the remains, but no match has been found yet...

Ashley Lovett was "challenged" and received a Social Security check, which was deposited into a bank account, and the step-mother and half-brother continued to use the victim's money for several months... The two also were charged with financial transaction card fraud for allegedly using the victim's Direct Express debit card several times between Oct. 23, 2014 and Feb. 5, 2015 to withdraw cash and make purchases.

Ashley Lovett's cause of death is yet unknown, and neither suspect currently is charged with murder, Oglesby said. Other charges may be brought as the investigation continues.

I wonder how she died. was in murder, or did they really find her deceased and just keep on using her benefits?

Susan Coleman (Lovett) and Christopher Lovett faced a judge in Jenkins County and accepted a plea deal on one count each of Concealing the Death of Another Person.

They will each serve 10 years in prison and 10 years probation.

The body that GBI agents found has still never been positively identified as Ashley Lovett.

Thanks JerseyGirl for posting this update. I sure hope if the remains are identified as Ashley's that they will be charged for her death should it be determined that she was murdered....

So sad. I didn't see in any of the reports where Ashley's father was while all this evil was going on. Did I miss that? Very happy to know her daughter is safe.
