A 65-year-old mother of 13 and grandmother of seven is pregnant with triplets. Annegret Raunigk of Berlin, Germany previously told media she only ever intended to have one child. Her 13th child is 10 years old and she says it was a 'bit of a shock' when she discovered she was expecting quadruplets, although it followed several attempts at artificial insemination abroad. She and her children have previously appeared on tv shows.
She did not consider reducing the number of embryos after successful fertilization.
