I couldn't find a thread for this man and saw a news article so thought I would start a thread. There are a couple of items found with this man that might be clues - a distinctive necklace charm and an emblem patched onto his jeans saying "AJ's Club Member"

News article on this case with a computer enhanced photofit and pictures of his necklace charm and shoes - http://wtop.com/maryland/2015/04/cold-case-police-try-to-id-body-found-in-potomac-in-1991/

Case History

The victim was located in the Potomac River, north of Woodrow Wilson Bridge in Bellevue.

As a native central Marylander, the location has me confused. Bellevue, the town, is another county completely. There's a Bellevue plantation in Prince George's county, but it is inland. Also, the WTOP article says south of the bridge, while the NAMUS case says north of the bridge. There's a Belle View neighborhood in Alexandria, VA, south of the bridge. Maybe that's what they're speaking of? The Maryland line pretty much goes across the entire bridge, so I could understand the confusion if that is the area they're talking about.

"Police seek help in cold case; body found in Potomac in ‘91"

"We’re hoping maybe somebody might recognize the shoes, the necklace or the wristwatch,” Lathroum said. “We’re also looking into other avenues as to where there may be any DNA preserved on the watch or necklace.”

“This individual is somebody’s son, somebody’s friend, brother, cousin, nephew,” Lathroum said. “Somebody somewhere is probably missing him and would like to know what happened. Of course, we’d like to be able to get this person identified. Everybody deserves to have a name.”
