IN - Michael Hill, accused of molesting girl, 13, flees police
Lawrence police are looking for a man who allegedly seduced a 13-year-old girl through a phone-dating service.
Deputy Chief Bob Bowser said Michael Hill, 25, Indianapolis, had a two-month-long phone relationship with the girl before having sex with her.
The Indianapolis Star generally does not identify the victims of sexual assault.
Police were called to the girl's house in Lawrence at 11:53 p.m. Thursday after her stepfather heard noises coming from her bedroom.
The door was locked, so the stepfather broke in and saw a man's foot sticking out from beneath the girl's bed, Bowser said.
"A fight broke out between the suspect and stepfather," he said. "Hill was beaten up and taken away on a gurney."

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?
