" This woman had been dead for awhile.” He said that he discovered the body “about 150 yards off Bear Lane in the woods past the dog park.” He added that the body had been “thrown in the hole of a large uprooted tree.”

The victim's clothes were missing and the female may have been placed at the location for awhile because the body was in poor condition.

Authorities are working to identify the victim using dental records and fingerprints to help in that process.

There are also several teens missing who at thirteen or so might be too young to be described as a woman?

EDIT: I see in one of the articles above that they're using fingerprints to try to ID her so probably relatively fresh case.

Ken Siegel, the Maplewood man who made the discovery, posted on The Village Green’s Facebook page that “it took 3 hours from the time I found the body until they took my videotaped statement and let me leave. This woman had been dead for awhile.” He said that he discovered the body “about 150 yards off Bear Lane in the woods past the dog park.” He added that the body had been “thrown in the hole of a large uprooted tree.”
