On Wednesday investigators continued the investigation at a residence in the 14300 block of Cactus Drive in Victorville.
Anthony, a neighbor who lives on Desert Sands Road near the home in question, said that he had seen Felix occasionally walking around his neighborhood with "a backpack and a girl," but had not seen in him for a few months.

"I used to see him hanging out at the AMPM near Bonanza and El Evado," Anthony said. "The CSI was here, the ones that deal with drug dealing and guns."

Neighbors along Cactus Drive told the Daily Press on Thursday that there was a fight at the home Saturday night or early Sunday morning, and two guys are now missing.

I live in the area and have seen a lot of activity in our local paper, however, I haven't been able to find information regarding the circumstances around his disappearance. Does anyone know what happened? I've seen a few things that lead me to believe drugs may have played a role but I do not want to speculate. TIA

San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials said Tuesday that they are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Monday afternoon in the open desert northwest of Interstate 15 and Wild Wash Road, north of Victorville.

According to authorities, the body was found around 1:32 p.m. Monday and deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station arrived in the unincorporated desert area to find the "severely dehydrated" remains of a Hispanic man. Authorities offered no further description of the body. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail took over the investigation and requested Crime Scene Specialists.

Missing man's remains found; person accused of murder

Remains of a body found in a shallow grave in Apple Valley were identified Friday, May 22, as those of a missing Victorville man, and San Bernardino County sheriff's investigators arrested a man on suspicion of murder.

Alberto "Jimmy" Felix was last seen March 15. Evidence led investigators to believe that someone had killed Felix, a news release said.

On Thursday, investigators served a search warrant at an Apple Valley home and subsequently were led to the desert area in the northwest part of Apple Valley, where Felix's remains were found.

My youngest daughter has been posting Mr. Felix's missing/found info on her Facebook page. We lived in Victorville from 1989-2006 and all three of my kids attended grade and high school there. Some of her friends still live there and I asked her if she knew him. Come to find out, all my kids knew him. The two oldest knew him the best as they were his age. Youngest DD said they all grew up with him in our neighborhood.

I never met him. She said what the newspapers later reported, that the alleged murderer, Zachary Barron was in a gang (don't know which one) and that some of his neighbors had moved because he was so dangerous. She said she did not know if Jimmy (which was the name he went by) was in a gang and did not say anything about drugs.

By the time we moved, the Victor Valley had become horrible, pretty much taken over by gangs and run down.
