An Irish mom more known for styling celebrities on TV show 'The Voice', was so outraged by a dinner served to her seven-year-old in a Dublin hospital that she's started a twitter campaign to improve the quality of hospital food.

The offending meal was pie, chips (fries) and ketchup and lacked any sign of greenery or salady stuff - and the photo Ingrid Hoey tweeted directly at Health Minister Leo Varadkar is unlikely to figure in a stylish recipe book.

It's embarrassing as it follows hot on the heels of the Minister joining the earlier efforts of a celebrity chef to improve the quality of food in Ireland's hospitals.

Do they get a menu and pick choices like an American hospital? Is it limited by what diet the physician orders? My 15 year old was in Vanderbilt most of November 2014 & the food was excellent. He had choices off a regular diet menu.

Broward County Florida hospital has a McDonalds in the lobby and as a patient you can have food from there brought to you fron a visitor. Most of the people eating at McDonalds are the Doctors and nurses. The first pie and chips do not look that bad compared to a big mac.

The title of this thread sounds like a lyric from "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds".

Follow her down to the admitting desk
Where outraged Irish stylists campaign against hospital pies
Everyone smiles as you squirt out the ketchup
On a pile of disgusting fries.
