A state corrections officer accused of allowing a life sentence inmate to escape prison earlier this month was arraigned today in Baraga County District Court.
Jody Lynn Axley, 38, of Rockland was arrested last week and could face a sentence of up to life in prison if convicted of helping Garfield Lawson III escape from the Baraga Maximum Correctional Facility.
