Police seek help to find Grande Prairie man

Reported missing by his family on March 31st, not seen since March 6th. Police are now calling his disappearance a homicide.

He is six-foot-three, about 195 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. In a photograph distributed by the RCMP, he is smiling and wearing a T-shirt with the words Stay Hungry. After the photo was taken, he had a tattoo put on his face. It is of a smile sewn shut. The Grande Prairie RCMP are asking the public to call them or Crime Stoppers if they have any information about the missing man.

Last seen 3-6 but not reported until 3-31??????? Calling it a homicide right off the bat.... hopefully they know a lot more than what they're saying.

I guess the police have something that points to homocide rather than voluntary disappearance or suicide. 2 months is a long time.
The description of the tattoo is unusual too. A stitched up smile. Is the tattoo across his own mouth? And if so has his mouth been tattooed so it's lines extend upwards in a permanent smile? Like some thing from Tim Burton's "Nightmare before Christmas"?

So the timeline looks like:

-March 6 - AS was last seen by police when they had an 'interaction with him', AND last spoke to A family member (a family member who seems to have originally reported his last contact as being on March 1st)

-March 10 - AS moved out of the residence in Grande Prairie where he had been living

-March 31 - Man reported missing by A family member (it is unknown if it is the same or a different family member who last saw AS, although the wording seems to suggest IMO, that it is the same person)

-April 7 - RCMP issue initial press release "asking for the public's assistance to locate a missing 25 year old."

-April 21 - RMCP issue Update#1 - renewing their request for the public's assistance in locating AS - it becomes clear now that AS moved out of where he had been living on March 10 since the Update is now saying '6 weeks ago'; the Update clarifies that the family member had in fact last spoken to AS on March 6th and not March 1st as the family member had initially reported; it also states that AS has ties and connections to the Abbotsford/Chilliwack area in British Columbia.

-April 22 - RCMP issue Update#2 - RCMP Major Crimes Unit becomes involved and police state they "have strong reasons to believe that Adrian may be the victim of foul play and a criminal investigation into his disappearance is now underway."

"In cooperation with a number of specialized RCMP units, Grand Prairie Detachment and Major Crime Unit investigators are executing a search warrant at a residence at the east end of Grande Prairie's in relation to Adrian's disappearance.

No one has been arrested or charged to date in relation to this matter."

-April 28 - RCMP issue Update#3 - "Grande Prairie Detachment officers assisted of Police Dog Services, Special Tactical Operations (STO) are searching a rural area outside of Grande Prairie."

-April 29 - RCMP issue Update#4 - "As the result of this ongoing investigation, police are now treating Adrian Snider disappearance as a homicide.

Police have completed searches of a residence and a rural area of Grande Prairie.

Adrian's family have been informed of these developments."

It sounds like 'the' family member who reported AS missing, originally misled police about the date of the last contact. Police realized that police had had an 'interaction' with him AFTER the family member said he/she last saw him, and then the family member changed his story about when the last communication was. Is this because the family member had been the one to instigate the police contact with AS and so police knew the family member had to have had contact later than when he/she initially reported?

Police through their investigation also discovered that AS had moved out of where he had been living - date of move-out seems pretty close to the date last seen by police and last reported contact with family - had AS been living at the family home and was kicked out after the police 'interaction' with him?

One day after releasing the above 2 discoveries (wrong date of last contact and that AS had moved out), police release that foul play is suspected, Major Crimes becomes involved, and a search warrant is obtained to search 'a residence'. No doubt the residence AS had moved out of.

One week later, special teams including K9 search a rural area outside Grande Prairie, and then one day later, police release they are treating the disappearance as a homicide.

MOO
