Canada - Sudbury, Aboriginal Male, 30-48, in Junction Creek, May'15 - Owen Ahpay

Police ask for public's help to ID man found in Junction Creek
    May 08, 2015 - 12:00 PM

The deceased man is believed to be between 30 and 50 years old, 5-foot-5 in height, about 160 pounds, thick, shoulder-length black hair and was missing some upper teeth.

Police have released a picture of a hooded sweater with zipper the man was wearing when his remains were discovered in hope that someone may recognize it. The hooded grey sweater has images of wolves on both sleeves.

This investigation is still being conducted under the jurisdiction of the coroner. Police are asking anyone who may know the identity of the victim to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 705-675-9171, ext. 2300, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. - 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)

We are all one poor choice from being a subject on this forum. Think twice.

I believe Junction Creek is close to the Greyhound / Northland bus terminal ... *might* not be a local man...A lot of buses pass through & stop/ briefly layover in Sudbury going east & west.

One of the comments on the first article indicates he might have been a local homeless man. So it might be someone who has been missing for a while. I didn't see anything about how long he had been deceased when found -- did anyone see that?

Almost a year has passed and Greater Sudbury Police say they are no closer to identifying a man whose body was found in Junction Creek on May 2, 2015.

Police said they have followed up on all tips they've received from the public, and have hit dead ends, eliminating possible matches...

He had an old pellet gun wound on his chin, with the pellet still embedded in the bone, had a one-inch scar on his right knee and no tattoos.
