For 75 years, 92-year-old Olive Cooke of Bristol, England, had sold poppies to remember lost - and aid living- veterans of Britain's wars. It's estimated she sold 30,000. Even a breast cancer diagnosis in late 2013 didn't stop her.
But her high-profile charitable works came with a downside - friends report she had been inundated with requests from charities that she found hard to refuse, and had lost faith when £250 she sent to a relative went missing in the post.
Olive's body has been found at the bottom of the deep Avon Gorge, in Bristol.
Rest in peace, Olive. Thank you.

Her son, Del Whelan, 62, said: She thought she had done something wrong. He said she also had health problems but the loss of the money and the impact of the cold-callers took their toll. It was the constant drip of the begging letters. I think she found it difficult to say no. She had just had enough.
Rest in peace, Olive. Thank you.
