WACO: (May 17, 2015) Three rival motorcycle gangs turned a local restaurant into a shooting gallery Sunday afternoon and when the gunfire was over, nine people were dead and several were injured.

Swanton said authorities are concerned that gang members are moving to other parts of the city to continue the confrontation elsewhere.

At the foxnews link are photos of a family including very small children at the scene. I cannot even begin to imagine how frightening this situation must have been for the families and people just out trying to enjoy a meal on a Sunday afternoon.

Which restaurant did it happen at?

Not certain this situation is under control at all. Backup is being called in, I think, from media tweets I'm seeing.

I read they were expecting more gang members to show up and also that the confrontation was continuing in other parts of the city. Scary. I had no idea Waco was a hotbed for motorcycle gangs.

Neither did I.

WACO — Nine people were killed and 18 other people were injured in a confrontation involving motorcycle gangs at a Twin Peaks restaurant on the south side of Waco early Sunday afternoon.

Waco police spokesman Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said some of the dead and wounded may have been struck by gunfire from law enforcement.

"They started shooting at our officers and our officers returned fire," he said

I don't even know what to say anymore...

They need to shut this place down. supposedly the management knew what kind of gangs these were and invited them anyways.

someone on facebook said the whole city is on lockdown.

Foxnews just said in a live report " no law enforcement and no bystanders were injured'' . I hope that is the truth.
