This where I grew up so proud of them......22 off the streets way to go...

Last week, 22 people suspected of preying on children in Georgia were arrested during an operation coordinated by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and numerous law enforcement agencies across the state.

“Operation Mayday” began May 14 and lasted four days in Richmond County, where Augusta is located, according to a press release from the GBI. The operation was led by three main law enforcement units – the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, which is composed of law enforcement officers from more than 200 local, state and federal agencies. For this operation, 16 different agencies participated in the ICAC, including the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.

“We were honored to be asked to participate in this operation,” said Coweta County Sheriff Mike Yeager. “Sgt. Jason Fetner represented the sheriff’s office. He did a great job with it, and I’m glad to see the work he did.”

According to the GBI, the operation took months of planning with the purpose to arrest predators who communicate with children, both boys and girls, online and travel with the intent to meet them and have sex. The operation also targeted predators who were willing to purchase sex with a minor or recruit a minor for child sex trafficking.

The operation ended with the arrests of 21 men and one woman who were traveling from the Augusta and South Carolina areas to Richmond County to meet with a “child” for sex. These predators ranged from the age of 19 to 52, and six admitted to having previous sexual contact with children, according to the GBI. All 22 were charged with criminal attempt to commit child molestation, but more charges may follow. Authorities also seized suspects’ mobile phones and other digital devices, which will be analyzed.

The 22 suspects are: tire store employee Thomas Michael Moxley, 43, of Aiken, S.C.; actor Cody Allen Bondurant, 23, of Martinez, Ga.; funeral home director Paul Ellis Kitchens, 44, of Augusta, Ga.; electrician Richard Dean Tyndal, 24, of Evans, Ga.; retail stocker Leon Cornelius Holley, 20, of Grovetown, Ga.; John Kenneth Crowley, 30, of Augusta, Ga.; software programmer Kyle Andrew Negus, 26, of Augusta, Ga.; correctional officer Travis Demond Driggers, 34, of Louisville, Ga.; tire store employee Matthew Kyle Sears, 25, of Augusta, Ga.; restaurant manager Matthew Robert Tyndall, 25, of Augusta, Ga.; crane technician Cody Justin Pobanz, 27, of Augusta, Ga.; grocery store employee Christopher Anthony Titre, 22, of Martinez, Ga.; pharmacy technician Jordan Andrew Waters, 22, Beech Island, S.C.; deputy jailer Ruben Ellis Reese, 52, of Martinez, Ga.; pool attendant Nicholas Sebastian Barber, 23, of Martinez, Ga.; student Ian B. Shelby, 25, of Martinez, Ga.; laborer Everett Ryan Lewis, 21, of Baxley, Ga.; truck driver Reginald Martinez Grubbs, 40, of Waynesboro, Ga.; airman Jordan Blake Roberts, 21, of Grovetown, Ga.; landscaper Nicholas Michael Hopkins, 25, of Evans, Ga.; student Tyler Alexander Judkins, 19, of Evans, Ga.; and soldier Heather Elyssa Myers, 19, of Fort Gordon, Ga.

Yeager said the operation was successful and there will be more operations around Georgia to follow, possibly around Coweta County.

According to the GBI, The Georgia ICAC Task Force made 185 arrests in 2014 and has made more than 1,300 arrests since it was formed in 2002.

Glad they are off the streets! I hope the analysis of their electronic devices leads to more charges and arrests! Round them up!
