Dinosaur dissection will be broadcast on TV
An 'autopsy' on a T-Rex is going to be made into a TV show for National Geographic and broadcast in 172 countries. Despite all the gore and experts carrying out the process, the seven-ton prehistoric hulk is not actually flesh and blood though - it's been custom-built by the same special effects company that built Jabba the Hutt.
Geographic’s Hamish Mykura, the show’s executive producer...won’t tell me how much the dinosaur cost, but he laughs at my initial guess of £125,000. Someone will later suggest that it cost well over a million quid, adding that at one point a work-experience student was tasked with removing the fluff from 20,000 goose feathers. We 'embraced' the missing Bob Harrod case as requested but 6 years on, are still waiting for further guidance
