On National Donut Day Friday, a woman passenger in a line at JFK airport suddenly choked on one and stopped breathing. TSA worker and volunteer firefighter Glenn Davis, and his partner, retired NYPD officer Anthony Varvaro performed CPR for five minutes as she lost consciousness and stopped breathing.
Amazingly, the woman then recovered enough to jokingly correct Davis; it wasn't a donut but a glazed Dunkin Munchkin she choked on, she said. Authorities and Davis did not learn her name.
