A Dutch woman who became trapped in a cage above a pool of saltwater crocodiles was given chocolate and water to sustain her during the ordeal in Australia.
The perspex cage, a popular tourist attraction at the Crocosauros Cove in Darwin, became stuck at the end of its run with the woman in a bikini inside. Just below her, a large saltwater crocodile that realised there was a problem waited patiently.
The cage was eventually brought back to the launching platform and the woman was able to climb out safely. Four years ago in a similar incident, the rope of the cage snapped, plunging two people inside into the crocodile tank. They also escaped being eaten.
