100 questioned over missing Swedish teen

Police have questioned over 100 people over the disappearance of 17-year-old Lisa Holm, who went missing on Sunday evening in Blomberg near Lidköping.

•Key clue found in record missing teenager search (11 Jun 15)
•Huge police hunt for missing Swedish teen (10 Jun 15)
Police officers are continuing to search the houses in the area where she disappeared.

“Around 30 police officers are now working through all the houses in the area,” Lars Johansson, head of Skövde police’s serious crimes department told Swedish broadcaster SVT.

“We have also spoken to many people who have appeared in the tips flowing in.”

No one has yet been suspected of any crime.

Lisa Holm, who was named by police on Tuesday, was last seen at a café in Blomberg near Lidköping at around 6.30pm on Sunday after working a shift there.

There seem to be more detailed articles about what the rescue efforts have yielded, but since they come from non-English sources, I cannot verify if they are reputable or not. Here's a link to one (use google translate): http://www.expressen.se/gt/kusliga-fyndet-i-jakten-pa-lisa-holm/

There's also a disturbing (hopefully just eerily coincidental) youtube video titled "13" that was posted 13 days before her disappearance, and the account name on it is Lisa Holm. Folks on other forums have tracked down the likely uploader, and his online presence is pretty alarming. Really creepy stuff.

The man whose name has been brought up on forums has been questioned by police (as far as I'm aware) and is of no interest in this case

Where was she found? Do they know who killed her? My mother, grandmother, aunts and uncles and cousins on my mother's side of the family were all born in Sweden. I still have cousins over there.

UPDATED: Three people - one woman and two men - were taken in for questioning on Friday evening. They were escorted from a house about 300m from the café where Holm works.

RIP Lisa.

The police haven't specified where she was found exactly, but sources say she was found in a barn/stable nearby the café where she was last seen.

3 people are in custody, but no one has been officially arrested.

I have an awful headache and have a hard time translating swedish words to english so I hope the link works. I am swedish and this morning they had some kind of hearing to proceed this case.

Abduction here is rare and when I heard the news of her being missing I immidiatley was thinking of Jessica Heringa it was kind of similar. It was such a sad outcome and I feel so sad for her family and friends.

17-year old Lisa Holm went missing after finishing (summer job) work at a cafe Sunday June 7,
she was missing for a few days, body found about a week later after her belongings had been found, spread out along a field, leading straight to some visiting Europeans home.
(Actually, spread out from the Lithuanians work place to their home. Lisa's body was found at a farm where the brothers had been working.)
The people at the home (Lithuanians) have been arrested however, some forensic results came back today and did not link the crime to the Lithuanians.

Most of the articles about Lisa are in Swedish so I don't expect a lot of help,
I am asking if ANYONE can find locals, who knows the area, probably live there, who may have known the Lithuanians, who may have met Lisa.
Etc: Who knew the area... the farms... the Lithuanians... met Lisa... ETC!

"More than 7,000 people disappear in Sweden every year, according to Missing People,..." Not sure of the total population of Sweden, but that sure seems like a lot.

PraireWind, that does sound like a lot of people going missing, considering Sweden's population almost equals Londons. Crazy!

Well the wife was released and has gone back to her country where her child is. Not sure what I feel about this anymore, now there seems to be just one perp, not all three..
More possible I guess...

Thank you zwiebel and wfgodot for the links!
Thank you hopeandglory for the updated stat. Last time I lived in Sweden I think the population was around 8,5 mil. Maybe 20 years ago?

How tragic! What is the poor victim's name?

Missing teenager murder suspect released

The 31-year-old man, who is originally from Lithuania, was arrested earlier this month after police found the body of the teenage schoolgirl following one of the most high profile missing person cases in Swedish history. His older brother was also detained and remains in police custody.

One of the prosecutors considering the case, Lars-Göran Wennerholm said on Tuesday that forensic evidence had “strengthened suspicions against the older 35-year-old brother and simultaneously weakened suspicions against his younger brother”.

He added that he believed “the investigation is moving forward in a good way” and said that despite the release of the 31-year-old, both he and another woman arrested two weeks ago remained “in the picture” as officials continued to delve into the case.

From last month:

http://www.thelocal.se/20151117/swedish-court-to-rule-in-lisa-holm-murder-trial

A 35-year-old Lithuanian man has been found guilty of murdering Swedish teenager Lisa Holm, whose disappearance sparked one of Sweden's largest missing person searches.

Skaraborg District Court handed Nerijus Bilevicius a life sentence on Tuesday morning...

It said forensic evidence including traces of Bilevicius' DNA strongly indicated that he was guilty. It also noted that he lacked an alibi for the time of the murder.

OT:
In 2018 the number of people reported missing were 7,100, but of those the majority were found within 60 days, only 146 people remained missing at that point. At six months after a person gone missing, only about 30 people each year are still missing, and never found.
Tiotals personer försvinner varje år | SvD

There are many reasons why people are reported missing, but people with dementia, and elderly are a large group, as well as suicidal persons. Among those never found are people who have applied for asylum in Sweden, but leave Sweden, or go into hiding after being denied asylum.

The area of Sweden is a bit larger than that of California, while the population is only about 1/4 of its population.
