A man who Anchorage police say is a serial rapist, preying on women walking alone at night, is behind bars, held on $150,000 bail. His capture came after DNA tests linked him to at least three sexual assaults and victim testimony linked him to a fourth. The Anchorage Police Department is combing through its records, trying to see if any unsolved sexual assaults fit what they say is his modus operandi. That MO involves searching for women walking the streets at night, offering them a ride and then driving them to an isolated spot, like a Midtown parking lot, where they feel helpless.
