According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention growth charts, 90lbs is the average weight of a 12 year old boy or girl.

According to the only article I've seen that a poster was kind enough to post it says the legs were found on the bay side about a mile west of Davis Park. That article is in her thread. That's about 12 miles from the RMC bridge and about 3.5 strait across from the north shore of the bay. I'm thinking someone with knowledge of how the tides work there combined with the estimated time the remains had been dismembered (not that long) it looks like they could come up with a good guess as to where they were dumped from.

Maybe these last few pages can get moved to hodgepodge or something. Some good discussion but slightly off topic. Not that I'm trying to police the thread or anything.

This would be the approximate area the legs washed up according to that article.

I've been reading the older threads and I believe the deep conversation some are thinking of about the physics/logistics of how FI Jane Doe's parts ended up where they did happens about here: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sho...17-2012/page20

My submission for Holly Anne Painter http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/1509dfon.html did not pass the Doe Network panel because of circumstances. I agree with that decision as it is unlikely she would have suddenly gone to NY and worked in the sex industry. A few new thoughts on FIJD:

    1) Her torso was never found -she could have been pregnant. Many of us have thought that the father of Peaches child is the killer of Peaches and The Toddler. FIJD could be a similar story.

    2) There is something about the sketch of her that to me has a Slavic or Eastern European appearance. Obviously this isn't her because of the timing but I'm thinking FIJD might have been someone with similar circumstances https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/15119/9

What you wrote about Slavic appearance made me think of something. I live in Massachusetts, not LI, but on Cape Cod it's common to hire people from Eastern Europe to work in restaurants for the summer. Does this happen on LI too?

Could this torso found in the Rockaways in 2000 be Fire Island Jane Doe's?

I'm not sure if that torso is FIJD's or not but I do think that it, along with these two could be more LISK victims:

I am very interested in these torsos. The '88 and '00 cases were both torsos wrapped in plastic (like Manorville Jane Doe and Jessica Taylor's torsos). I find it curious that there is DNA for the '88 one but not the '90 one. I would really hope that since there is DNA for the '00 case it would have been compared to FIJD but who knows.

Her DNA was collected and complete. Her DNA was not entered into NAMUS
Some believe the word "complete" means "entered". It doesnt.

The '00 one & the '90 one are both found in the Rockaways. I think the Rockaways could definitely be another dumping ground for LISK/Manorville Butcher.
