Police have identified two suspects in the slaying of Joe Caputo, the Niagara Falls senior whose body was found Friday.

Niagara Regional Police say they have obtained first-degree murder warrants for cousins Jasmine Doxtator and Richard William Doxtator, both residents of Hamilton.

The cousins are believed to be travelling in a silver 2000 Nissan Xterra SUV, licence plate number BAZ F375.

"They may be in the company of two persons not related to the investigation, one of whom may be a child," said NRP Det. Staff Sgt. Dan Savoie.

"Police are cautioning members of the public that, if these parties are seen or the vehicle is observed, not to approach the individuals, rather contact 911 immediately."

The body of Giuseppe (Joe) Caputo was found in his lower level apartment and police say his death was a homicide.
First-degree murder arrests warrants have been issued for two people in their late 30s.
Jasmine Doxtator, 36, is a Native Canadian female about five feet four inches tall with a medium build, brown eyes, dark brown or black shoulder length hair and a tattoo of Chinese symbols on her left ankle.
Richard Doxtator, 38, is also described as a Native Canadian approximately six feet tall, 221 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He has numerous tattoos on both arms and a distinctive tribal tattoo on the right side of his neck.
Police say the victim knew the suspects, adding that Caputo's death was not a random act of violence.

Driving while impaired with 8 month old and wife in vehicle. Got off easy. Unfortunately, this guy made some more bad decisions.

What is wrong with this picture? RD gets an 8 yr prison sentence for attempted murder in 2003...then at the time of this article he is found to be close to 1.5x to 2x almost, over the legal limit while driving causing a multi-car crash and causing multiple injuries to himself, his wife and another driver while also risking his little baby's life...all this after it is said "At the time, Doxtator was a prohibited driver due to a prior drinking and driving conviction. As well, his license had been suspended indefinitely for non-payment of fines." and ALL he gets is an additional 90 days in jail to be served on wknds...REALLY? What is wrong with the Canadian Judicial System? Everything I believe...yet I see the Toronto Mayor is worried about how officers are carding people on the street and is getting rid of this process, these small law changes are easy to make but are the least of our worries, somebody in gov't needs to make a big move...The Laws need to get much tougher on repeat offenders of violent crimes and possible violent crimes like DUI's that can cause death or serious injuries. Now this guy is wanted on 1st degree murder charges...wow. Had laws been tougher and RD got an additional 3 yrs and serve 2/3 or all of that time, I think their victim would still be with us today, yes hindsight is 20/20 but you know what I mean.

I see on JD's FB account she is friends with a few people from Seneca Casino and JC (GC). JC has a friend on FB who works at Marriott Fallsview Resort in Niagara. So just a hunch that maybe JC frequents Seneca and/or Niagara casinos sometimes and he ran into JD and RD at some point and they became FB friends that way. So if they ran into each other more than once at a casino, maybe JC won a half decent sum of money one night and they followed him home or he invited them over for a drink (which would be unlikely) and things went wrong after that. So maybe as a long shot I would be checking Casino footage Thursday evening June 18th and shortly after midnight into Friday morning depending on when voices were heard that Friday morning....another sad story...damn!

Thanks Edge, I wish I could find more info about the 2003 attempted murder charge.

Yes, curious to know what went down...the only thing I could find was from the Hamilton Spec archives with the heading Man wanted in beating surrenders to police then an abstract saying..."Police said the 38-year-old victim was found lying in a pool of blood in his home when his girlfriend stopped by his house that morning. He is in serious but stable condition with severe head injuries in Hamilton General Hospital...They want $$ to read the entire article...so this could be anyone really but only article I could find that fits timeline of maybe crime committed in July or August 2002 then conviction maybe late 2003 if case was cut-and-dried?

Also what's with the BS that Jasmine Doxtator is from BC and lives in Sudbury?

Based on Linkedin if it is the same JD, she use to work at Seneca Casino for 3 years up until last year as a table games supervisor, so if JC use to frequent that casino this very well could be the connection!

Thanks for the links Edge! Good sleuthing!

This is terrible. Two wanted...what are their names?? Suppose I know them. How would I know they're wanted for murder? What is the victim's name? When did the murder occur?
