I did a forum search for this young man, and found nothing. July 5th of this year will make 3 very long years that Clarence Holmes has been missing, 32 year old Clarence Holmes (which was living in Winchester Ky) was last seen at Laurel Lake in London Kentucky on the day of July 5th 2012, Holmes was on a pontoon boat helping others before a storm rolled in, he was just three minutes away from he marina.

Awe man, he was helping others as a storm approached. :(

I spent every day of summer at Laurel Lake from when I was an infant to when I was 9 years old. Then we went for a month until I was 13. My late grandfather had a beautiful houseboat he bought in the late 70s and fixed up.

I follow Lex18 and this popped up in my newsfeed.

Divers are being guided by sonar and believe the area in question is 120 feet from the bottom of the lake. They have spent the better part of the morning searching, but there is no word on if the search has been successful.

What a handsome young man. :sigh:

This is an uncomfortable question but I have to ask - what kind of remains would they expect to find after all this time in the water? I could see if it's a body in a sealed cooler or something like that, but free floating after a fall from a boat? Wouldn't everything fall apart and scatter?

I don't know much, but I know bodies decompose differently underwater. It's (hot) air that causes the most decomp.

Any information yet??

Circumstances of Disappearance Helped other boaters get boats in before a storm, he left a house boat and said he was headed back to the marina but never made it. His boat was found on a small sandy island.
