Phones as a signature...the idea got me thinking. Phones are very different. I'm fluent with my own iPhone but my husband has some kind of Droid and I struggle whenever I try to use it. Then there's miscellaneous other phones of different vintages. You don't have to be a genius to figure out how someone else's phone works but you'd have to be comfortable in that world, especially if you have reason to believe that LE is tracking the device. To me this points to someone younger or techier than your average bear.

i wish i could get Delong to give some insight--I reached out to her 2X---She stated since hse hadn't seen the crime scene photos, talked to l.e. etc she wasn't comfy participating--i was like hey i am not asking for you to pick someone, but give some insight based on what's out in the media like some others have---unless she has a camera to speak into with a large audience, she isn't interested---safarik declined comment on my only attempt at reaching out

    PHONE MEASURE LISK TAKES

LISK Crew indeed take a measure about the phone of the victim. But it's not the "Don't bring your phone" nonsense as SCPD puts forward to mud up the water. LISK Crew turns the phones off.

I believe there are other cases related with LISK Crew

Rashawn Brazell - Phone is turned off
Maureen Brainard Barnes - Phone is turned off
Eve Eskin Brown - Phone is turned off
Thalia Stathis - Phone is turned off

New Jersey put HUGUES FRANCOIS behind bars for murdering Thalia Stathis.

    Now read carefully:
According to telephone records, Thalia's last outgoing call was made to defendant's telephone at 1:56 a.m. on the morning of September 14. The last time Thalia's cellphone was active was at 2:51 a.m. that morning, when an incoming call from defendant's (Francois) phone was forwarded to voicemail.

So, according to Bergen County prosecutors, Francois turned Thalia's phone off and he's calling her with his right hand just to be forwarded to voicemail, while his left hand is beating Thalia...

I bet real money that Hugues Francois is innocent. The litigation is an embarrasment for criminal justice history.

I don't really understand why the above post should be moved to here.

I believe there are too many threads in LISK forum. 7 pages of threads.

The Asian Male has two threads for him. There's a thread called " I wonder - will they do any searches in the Sound itself?" Why is a simple question posted on its own thread?

With so many threads it's so hard to follow the case. And most of the threads are really unnecessary.
The above post was in the Theory Thread. I believe it's a perfect place for general discussion and the idea put forward is part of a theory after all.

Can you please move it back?

The purpose of a forum is to accomodate topic specific threads. Presently, the theory thread contains 1800+ posts on every topic under the sun. Members repeat the same questions over and over because the answers are buried in the hodge podge, and/or they won't take the time to look for, and post in, the appropriate thread!

Yes, there are quite a few threads in this forum, and many are unnecessary. That was the result of allowing members to open threads, which is no longer the case. New threads now have to be approved before they are open for posting. If a member would like to start a new thread, S/he can send me a request in a pm, and I'll be glad to consider it.

To answer your request, no, I won't move the post back to the other thread. Sorry.

As a reminder, comments about thread management always should be addressed in a private message to an admin or mod.

Emre, You refer to the LISK crew. Does this mean you think the victims were killed by a group rather than an individual? Sorry. This post has nothing to do with cell phones.

I disagree. First of all, older people can get the handle of technology. I think Jessica Taylor is related to the GB and the LISK would be too young.

If a phone is turned off, I believe it can still be tracked by at least the cell phone company, as long as there's juice in it.

LE knows how Meliissa and Maureen traveled to Long Island. Follow the pings. Either they took the railroad or they traveled by cars over the bridges. They had their phones with them. No reason to believe Amber and Megan did not. Especially since Lorraine said she was receiving calls at her job.

I think your correct. I've always been under the assumption that it has more to do with the batterie and if its in or not.

Was ALC the only one who someone (her roommate) could confirm that this request was made by whoever was on the phone?
Because I'm trying to remember here but I know Megan had left her phone but do we no for sure he requested her to do so? Could she have had another phone? If I was an escort I wouldn't be having clients call me on my personal phone.
    Burner phones are cheap.
MBB and MB both had their phones and we all know at least one of those phones ended up no doubt in the killers hands. ALC didn't have a phone and I'm sorry if its mean but I can't buy everything someone who didn't even report her missing says.
I just have never felt that he was requesting the girls leave their phones. If anything I think he liked having their phones to play with afterward. Like his trophy almost.

Working in tandem or different individuals? And you think the killers are AA or Latino? I guess that is a lot less frightening than thinking there is yet another middle aged white guy who has been murdering women since the late 1990s.

Well, I think the Hollywood description of smart, white, midaged, highly educated killer is way off the reality. I personally find only one of those guys really smart. But I'm not telling it here. He's not caught. Most of the others are average at best.

The smart serial killer comes from Hollywood and incompetent LE Agencies who can't do their job correctly

    Here's an example
A boy goes missing. A relative (woman) of the boy says the boy is drowned (Point A). Ten days later police finds the boy drowned. Then they remember the lady who said things about drowning and go to her (Point B). Killer is her husband. Now, Question is, how much time from Point A to Point B do you think?

So, when PDs fail, it must be either "We suck" or "He's smart".

Here is the description of a crime committed by a NJ sex offender.
OFFENDER AND CO-OFFENDER BROKE INTO A MOTEL ROOM, ROBBED THE OCCUPANTS AND SEXUALLY ASSAULTED AN ADULT FEMALE DURING THE COURSE OF THE ROBBERY.

Try to imagine what happened and tell me.

Why is the baby registered in the Namus database as SEX: Unsure. Everybody knows it's a girl. Who's filing the information? SCPD. What difference does it make?

Suppose you're the "Puerto Rican grandma" of the baby and try to find her using the search function of Namus, the only criteria is "SEX:FEMALE."

And why isn't mom there? I know only remains found but is that enough to exclude her from the database when there's a baby out there? Who is not doing the filing?
