FORT MYERS SHORES, FL -
A Fort Myers Shores woman disappeared early Friday after leaving a friend's house, and a cryptic text has her family fearing the worst.

Chelsey Green never made it to her home just blocks away. Her brother received a locater text around 3:30 a.m. The GPS location put Green right near the State Road 31 bridge.

(First time starting a thread, hope I did it correctly.)

Before find a friend on my iPhone I had an app that let me send my GPS location to people. I'd do it when I was working in people's homes in case something happened to me, they knew where I was at last.

Interesting though. Plenty of young, pretty women going missing "just blocks away" from their locations.

Some noteworthy quotes and images from the article:

"Lee County deputies launched a search for Green, even putting their helicopter into the air. The search lasted about 12 hours as deputies sought Green's white two-door Dodge Stratus."

This is the missing car, and a sticker from the back window.

"A deputy said late Friday that he worked with the family and Sprint, which pinged Green's last known location to a nearby cell phone tower. That means she could have been in the area."

According to this screen cap of google maps, Fort Myers Shores (circled in pink) is a subdivision right next to the State Road 31 bridge (pink lines), which crosses over the Caloosahatchee River.

If her car is also missing, it's easy to assume she somehow ended up off the road and in the water since there are so many available points of entry. :( Two such possibilities are as shown, but this is just hypothetical to help get our minds going.

She is still missing. No news. Mother is devastated and doesn't know what else to do. I urged her to contact Equusearch. I know that some local people were doing some searches, but I don't know how organized it has been.

Of course there are always rumors, but one rumor is that she was heading to Arcadia to meet someone?

Arcadia is a very small town about 35 miles north of where she was last seen. Don't know why she would be going there.

What else can I tell her mom to do?

Has the mom hacked into her FB, other SM, and email accounts to read the private messages? Phone records to see who was last to receive a text/call?

Even if she doesn't ever post anything she might want to join here so she has access to some of our links.

The last person who saw her is interviewed here. She says that Chelsey left her house around 3am.

Ashlee Eaton was the last person to see Green.

"She just basically said I want to sleep in my own bed, and I want to take a shower. Just call me in the morning and make sure I am up for work. I said ok," said Eaton.

Eaton says Green left her house around 3 a.m. Friday. She says she thought Green was driving home. But, she never made it.

I don't know for sure if she was drinking. Some rumors suggest that they were "partying." However, that has not been publicly reported.

Thank you. This struck me odd...
Her roommate came and banged on my door at 4:30 in the morning looking for her. The search has been on every since then," said Eaton.
Why 4:30 am? And she went up the other friends' house, banging on the door claiming she was missing? Something is very goofy between these 3 friends!

What was the "cryptic" message about?

I was thinking that Chelsey may have told the roommate she was going to party at a friends house. Roommate wakes up at ~4am and notices Chelsey hasn't returned and it is odd for her to be out this late. She texts Chelsay and after ~30 minutes with no reply she goes over to friends house. The news didn't say if the roommate thought she was missing when she went to the friends house. She could have just thought Chelsey drank a bit too much or was busy talking.

I think the cryptic message is just the locator text that she sent her brother.

According to the latest news report, the friends could see each others back yard from their house. Chelsey only had to drive around the street to get home, but never made it home.

When you stay up that late, there must be a lot of discussion taking place. I wonder what she was talking about with her friend. I wonder if she had a recent break up with someone.

I'm still hung up on the roommate waking up, leaving the comfort of her bed in the middle of the night to go look for Chelsey, even going outside to another person's house, waking them up at 4:30 am. That's super weird and just a little too convenient and random.

Now knowing it is just around the corner makes even less sense. Why didn't Chelsey walk if it was so close? The roommate was comfortable going out, randomly in the middle of the night 1 1/2 hours after Chelsey was supposedly last seen? Did the roommate walk or drive?

Nothing between the roommate and the friend makes sense. Also, a phone ping is a phone ping. I do not feel it is the cryptic message LE mentioned. I think someone threw Chelsey's phone into the river around 3:00 am, then lied about her being at their house. I don't think that's where Chelsey or her car will be found.

Smells like jealous love triangle stuff to me. I think there is much much more to this story that involves the roommate, the friend, and a sinister cover up that hasn't yet been revealed.
