This is a wonderful compilation of old film footage of London, England. It includes the oldest-ever footage at the end, shot in 1890 in Trafalger Square. It's accompanied by great music and then-and-now clips too.
I just had to post it in bizarre news though for two reasons; One, London really doesn't seem to have changed that much at all. Two, the oldest film clip is introduced as 'filmed in 1890, just two years after the Jack the Ripper murders'.
What this nasty killer of women has to do with an old film of Trafalger Square I don't know, and it sure seems bizarre for London's history to be based on a timeline of his crimes...
There are also two brief shots of people running like the wind in the background, one who about turned abruptly from a group passing some marching Coldstream guards. It's really piqued my interest about what they were running to, or from.
