Captain Jeff Weible with the Wichita Police Department says the child's mother dropped Vincent and a 2-year-old sibling off with their father on June 5th for visitation.

The mother says she tried to contact the father after a few days, but she was unable to reach him or the children.

Police say, at some point in mid-June, the father took the children to Texas, where they stayed until July 9th. On July 9th, the father and the children came back to Wichita and were staying at a home at 31st and Hydraulic.

So I wonder what this tall tale will be? I'm not sure I can do this one along with Ember and Lonzie. WTH?

Are these guys reading on WS and then copying each other because it just seems to be the same story over and over again.

Woah woah woah, does that date say July 11th?!

The father was seen leaving the house with the 4-month-old in the early-morning hours of July 11, and the child has not been seen since.

He was last seen with a blue floral-print diaper bag.

On Wednesday, the father was stopped by Sedgwick County sheriff’s deputies in the 5500 block of West 21st Street, near Sedgwick County Park, and was arrested and booked into jail on “unrelated warrants.”

Wichita police Lt. Joe Schroeder confirmed the father’s name is Gary McKensey Moore Jr. Jail records show he was booked around 4:30 a.m. Thursday on two probation violations and failure to appear. In total, his bond is $850,000, records show.

When he was arrested, Moore had the 2-year-old with him, but not the 4-month-old. The 2-year-old was uninjured and has since been returned to the mother.

I think we know what this means. :(

More from the link:

“Family, friends and law enforcement have heard different accounts of the whereabouts of the child and all have been proven false,” Weible said. “Our focus is on finding the 4-month-old child and to determine if there’s any criminal activity associated with the child’s disappearance.”

Shades of Lonzie and Ember. :(

Why is it only the baby missing and not the 2 year old sibling too?

Babies cannot recognize when your caretaker has had it. The two year old may be mortally terrified of dad & know when to stop crying.

Wichita Police looking for missing 4-month-old

"I heard from this girl yesterday who said he had borrowed her truck like 3 or 5 in the morning," said Mendez. "He told her he was bringing me the baby and he wasn't. I guess he came back later just crying. He was just a mess and he was talking about how he needed to get out of town and things. The car seat was in the car and it was just empty. The diaper bag was just there and it was a mess."
