" Police say they responded to a call about shots being fired at about 3:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Muzik nightclub on the grounds of the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE). The shooting then spilled out into the street.

At least one victim was shot inside the club. Police found other victims both north and south of the venue, deputy chief Peter Sloly said at a news conference.

“We were very lucky that this was not a larger body count, quite frankly,” he said.

Sloly could not comment on suspects, except to say that they were a “brazen set of individuals who were armed and willing to … put innocent lives at risk.”

"Bergen also said police believe there may be others victims and urged them to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

It is not known whether Drake was at the nightclub at the time of the shooting. An Instagram post from the club’s feed describes an “absolute full house” for the event.

"Moreira described the two persons of interest. The first is described as a black male, 6' to 6-1", about 25 or 26 years old with a fresh buzzcut. He was wearing a purple crewneck sweater and dark blue jeans.

The second, who was seen near the Dufferin Gates, is described as a brown-skinned male, 5-10" or 5-11" with a skinny build, between 24 and 28 years of age. He was wearing a yellow and burgundy plaid button-up shirt.

Investigators are trying to determine what led to the shootings. The woman who died north of the Dufferin Gates did not appear to play a role in the events that led up to the gunfire, Moreira said.

Officers have interviewed "an extremely small percentage" of the estimated 4,000 people who were at or near the club, and are appealing to anyone who was at Musik to get in touch with investigators."

" A makeup artist who worked at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre was one of the two people who were killed in a series of brazen shootings in and around Muzik nightclub early Tuesday morning.

Friends of Ariela Navarro told CTV News on Wednesday that the woman, who worked at the Yorkdale locations of both Foot Locker and Sephora, was among the two victims to die in the still unsolved shootings"

" Police are asking for the public’s assistance solving this crime, including any photos or video footage they may have from that night by visiting bit.ly/TPSHomicide

“We rely so much on our communities to assist us with this… people at the venue have information that could help to solve this crime, allow our Homicide team to identify and arrest the perpetrators of the crime,” Deputy Chief Peter Sloly said. “There are people there who may be victimized and may need medical treatment and other supports and we are asking the public through media, to come forward with whatever information you may have so we can wrap up this investigation as quickly as possible and support the victims of this crime.”

"'We need your voice' to help stop Toronto gun violence, police tell Drake"

"Crime Stoppers is appealing to rapper Drake to help stop gun violence in Toronto in the wake of the deadly shooting at Muzik nightclub earlier this week.

Two people were killed and another three were injured at an after-party for Drake’s OVO Fest at the nightclub on Monday might.

In a tweet, Crime Stoppers called on the Toronto-born artist for a meeting and wrote: “we need your voice to help stop the violence in Toronto,” signing off with the hashtag #NoMoreGuns."

Updated, possible new evidence.

"Toronto police are analyzing new evidence — an awkwardly parked BMW with a bullet hole in it— in their investigation into a double homicide that occurred in and around Muzik nightclub over the long weekend.

The vehicle was spotted Thursday morning by CP24 reporter Cam Woolley who was at the scene reporting on the events that transpired early Monday morning. He noticed the blue BMW 530i sedan “parked in a strange manner” in a parking lot located northeast of the nightclub.

Upon closer inspection, he noticed a bullet hole in the lower portion of a passenger door and fresh damage on the right front corner of the vehicle.

“It looked like it was parked in haste,” he said. “It’s not locked and you can see there are valuables inside.”

Woolley immediately notified police of his discovery and police forensic officers have cordoned off the vehicle."

"Drake breaks his silence and talks about OVO Fest after-party shootings
“The last few days I have been in a moral bind,” said Drake. “I am used to the fact that my life and the things I say to my fans are‎ closely watched. It’s tough in situations like this where there’s a tragedy and I consider the advice of my trusted advisors and counsel who worry that anything I might say could be misinterpreted.”

Choking back tears, the sister of the 26-year-old Ariela Navarro-Fenoy, shot and killed in a deadly double-homicide at the OVO-fest after-party at Muzik night club last summer says her family is living a “nightmare.”

“She truly and wholeheartedly loved the city,” she said standing next to her father, Victor Navarro, during a press conference at Toronto Police headquarters Friday. “Our lives have been crushed and shattered, the pain is unbearable.”

Close to the one-year mark in the investigation, no arrests have been made in the fatal shooting that killed Navarro-Fenoy, and 23-year old Duvel Hibbert, Homicide Det. Omar Khan said.

“We are making progress. . . . It’s just that we need more,” Khan said. “We are prepared to continue our investigation as long as necessary.”

The crime is “definitely solvable’ Khan says, but believes that the pieces will only come together with the full cooperation of the public.”

“We have spoken to hundreds of people… but I encourage anyone with any information, even if they believe it be insignificant to contact us,” he said. “Often small bits of information can advance our investigation forward.”
