"The homicide investigation closed down parts of Bay, from Dundas south to Albert Street, beside Toronto City Hall.

Const. Victor Kwong said there are "varying accounts" of what happened after the shooting, including an unconfirmed report that someone fled into the Marriott after shots were fired.

"For precaution, we are holding Marriott as a scene," Kwong said."

"Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was killed in an early morning shooting in downtown Toronto.

It happened in front of the Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre Hotel on Bay St.

Detective Joyce Schertzer says multiple shots were fired just before 3 a.m.

A man believed to be in his twenties was pronounced dead at the scene.

Schertzer says it is unknown how many shooters there were, and police are not revealing the victim's identity."

It seems far away from the Muzik site to be connected but I honestly don't know. Right downtown at 3am! Weird and scary though!

Wasn't there a man shot in or near a hotel downtown a few years ago, maybe on the waterfront?

This is the case it made me think of.
