25-year-old Che Hearn of Zion, Lake County Illinois, is being called an 'unlucky thief' in a Round Lake Beach Police press release. That's because they say he tried to walk out of a Wal-Mart with a shopping basket full of electronic goods Tuesday, but had to flee on foot when confronted.
Unknown to Hearn, a repossession company had tailed him from his home and towed his vehicle the moment he entered Wal-Mart. He exited to find his only getaway 'vehicle' was going to be his feet, and had to leave the illicit goods behind anyhow. Police soon caught up with him.
The hapless Hearn has now been charged with retail theft.
