Christine Lamoreaux of Wildwood, Florida walked away from a one vehicle car crash into her apartment block and went inside.

When police arrived, Lamoreaux explained she didn't report the accident as she would pay for the damage, and asked police to arrest her dog as it was his fault. However, Sumter County officer Matthew Reynolds did not arrest the harmless-looking pooch - who the previous week Lamoreaux had posted on Facebook was her 'best road-trippin friend', along with a photo of the dog unsecured in the front seat.

Instead, Lamoreaux has been charged with DUI, hit and run(property) and resisting arrest without violence.

She sounds as bad as the owner of the two Malamutes that attacked my dog, "Not my fault, it was my gardeners who left the gate open". Yeah right lady, like they're going to pay my vet bills when you own two vicious dogs (which the city later deemed them to be!)

I may start using this excuse..."I HAD to eat the entire box of chocolates so the dog wouldn't" LOL
