Tennessee teen alive because phone called 911 for him
When 18-year-old Sam Ray's 5,000 pound truck collapsed on him in an isolated work area in Rutherford County, Tennessee, he knew there wasn't much hope.
Then he heard Siri, the voice-recognition service, activate on his iphone. Siri does what owners tell it to do, so he shouted for it to call 911. Although at first dispatch thought it might be a crank call, dispatcher Christine Lee soon heard Sam yelling in the background. The teen had the sense to yell out his location too.
He suffered broken ribs, a bruised kidney, cuts and concussion but emergency workers were able to rescue him so his crush injuries were treated in time. Sam says he's just thankful to be alive.

Siri probably wouldn't call for me. 'She' thinks I am crazy due to the odd questions my children ask her.
