SC - Christina Humphries, 28, pregnant, burned alive, Spartanburg, 16 Aug 2015
According to the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office, the body of Christina Humphries, 28, of Spartanburg was found by a man walking along a path off South Center Street.
Police said they were called to a wooded area near the 700 block of South Center Street on Sunday at 12:05 p.m. after a caller found the body while walking along the path.
The coroner has not determined a cause of death, but said preliminary investigation revealed the woman's death was the result of foul play.
The fire marshal's office and the State Law Enforcement Division are assisting in the investigation. No arrests have been made.

A little more info here:
Coroner Rusty Clevenger said the preliminary cause of death of Christina Michelle Humphries can be attributed to external injuries, thermal burns and hemorrhaging. Clevenger would not give any more details, except to say Humphries was 16- to 18-weeks pregnant at the time of her death.

Wilford Lee, Jr., 52, of 107 Smith St., Duncan, was charged with murder Wednesday after already being held in jail on an assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature charge.
Spartanburg police say they linked Lee to the killing of Christina Michelle Humphries, 28, through forensic evidence found on her body and on the scene...
On July 19, Humphries told the Spartanburg Police Department that she had been assaulted. She filed a police report accusing Lee of putting his hands around her neck and throwing her out of his vehicle, according to an incident report.
