    RIP Taylor.
What a confusing case. That developed fast.

Taylor really was planning to be away from the party for 5 minutes. The 6000 block of South Street and the 1200 block of Henry Street (where police say the murder took place) is barely a 2 minute walk, just around the corner.

    What a shocking outcome.

This is a much better article than the one i was reading on the CBC website. They do both sound like promising young people Very sad. The police must have a ton of evidence if they charged someone with first degree murder without a body.

It seems unbelievable to me that a med student would plot and carry out the murder of a fellow student over small time drug trafficking - I would bet there's a lot more to this than that.

police believe Taylor Samson was selling marijuana the night he disappeared
Samson seemed nervous about it since it was 4 pounds, a larger amount of marijuana than usual
Samson did not know this new “client” as he was introduced through a regular “client of Samson’s…making him very nervous
With Samson meeting a new “client” close to his residence and not returning when expected, the investigation have developed to believe that Samson was a victim of a “drug rip” and those who did so have taken him to obtain more money or information he may have related to the drug trade, his supplier and further location where drugs being held,” wrote Detective Constable Kenneth Todd Blake of Halifax Regional Police in the Information to Obtain a Search Warrant
4 lbs of marijuana isn't exactly small time

Someone you don't know wants to buy 4 pounds of pot from you right of the bat? I'm not a drug dealer and even I know that's a no go. Poor guy... no kidding he was nervous. I hope they find him, at least for his parents' sake.

$10,000 to 15,000 is small time? I've heard of people killed over $20.

Wonder if Sandeson was a wee bit skint on his tuition payment for medical school? Around $10,000 due in September.

So young, and so very sad. Condolences to all who knew and loved Taylor. Hopefully he can be found and brought home to his family.

    Rest in Peace, Taylor
