16-year-old investigated for faking triplets' pregnancy
Wyandotte, Michigan police are investigating the case of an unnamed 16-year-old who they suspect may have faked a pregnancy of triplets. The teen was reported to police by her own parents, August 27, when she refused to visit a hospital to confirm the pregnancy she'd already announced to her own family and that of her 16-year-old boyfriend.
A Wyandotte investigator confirmed the teen had accessed the FakeABaby website and is not pregnant now, but could not confirm if she ever had been. The teen's parents told media they just want the whole thing 'to go away' and will be returning all the baby gifts their daughter received.
