Columbus police seek info in solving 1986 cold case murder

COLUMBUS, Ind. (August 31, 2015) – The Columbus Police Department is asking for the public’s help with finding the person or persons responsible for the murder of Douglas Suns.

On August 31, 1986 a customer at the Kokolene Gas Station located at 505 Jonathan Moore Pike, found Suns’ body lying next to the gas pumps with a head injury.

It was later determined Suns had been shot in the head, and he died at the hospital from his injuries.
