Police in Mar del Plata have arrested 66-year-old Eduardo Oviedo for kidnapping and imprisoning his wife and son. Officers called to the home by a concerned relative said the house held a 'story of terror' where the chained woman and child had been fed through the bars of a cage.
Oviedo's daughter-in-law told media he is a violent man who threatened family members with a hatchet once. It isn't clear exactly how long his wife and child were caged but both are in hospital, the child cannot speak and his wife is in need of psychiatric care, authorities said. He faces 15 years in jail if found guilty.
