AL - Tina Martin, 29, beaten to death, Tuscumbia, 24 July 2000
State police and U-S Marshals have arrested a Buffalo man, saying he's wanted for the murder of his former wife in Alabama.
Authorities say Chad Gentry is actually 29-year-old David Martin. He was arrested at his home, which he shares with his wife and two children.
Daniel Larish of the Western New York Violent Felony Task Force said Martin took on the identity of his half-brother and settled in Ontario, where he remarried. The couple moved to the Buffalo area in 2002.

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?

From April 2006:
Colbert County authorities said David V. Martin, 29, entered a guilty plea Friday to manslaughter charges in his wife's death only days before a scheduled trial.
District Attorney Bryce Graham Jr. said Martin is accused of killing Tina Hamm Reese Martin, 29, of Tuscumbia. She died at Helen Keller Hospital on July 24, 2000, from a blow to the head.
Graham said Martin entered a "blind plea" to manslaughter, meaning no penalty was promised in a plea agreement.
