GA - Hurricane Katrina Evacuee Suspect In Acworth Rape?
A man who beat and raped an Acworth woman told her he was a Hurricane Katrina evacuee from New Orleans with nothing to lose, police said Sunday.
The woman was leaving for work on Tuesday morning when she encountered a knife-wielding man on her front porch, Acworth Police spokesman Wayne Dennard said.
The man beat the woman and raped her, then forced her to drive to an ATM to withdraw money. The woman jumped out of the car and ran into the bank, and the man fled in her car, police said.
The car was recovered Thursday about two miles from the bank.

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?
