A year later, no sign of Christina Morris
By Valerie Wigglesworth | Staff Writer Published Aug. 28, 2015

Not knowing takes its toll on Christina Morris’ family with every passing week.
Sunday will mark one year since she went missing from The Shops at Legacy in Plano after a night out with friends.

For family and friends, the last year has been an all-consuming search for answers. They have banded together, plastering her photo on social media, posters and billboards. They’ve sold T-shirts, tote bags and other trinkets bearing the same message: #FindChristina.

No new clues have emerged.

Volunteers have joined their quest, combing hundreds of acres for any trace to her whereabouts. And the Plano detectives assigned to the case have tracked dozens of leads.

Still nothing.

The one person who may hold the key is 25-year-old Enrique Arochi, who sits in jail in Collin County charged with aggravated kidnapping in her disappearance. But if he knows more, he isn’t talking.

Here's the deal guys on HF as some of you have concerns.

LE said HF was at the hotel. HF said he lost his phone. LE has not contradicted HF regarding his phone.

You can discuss the drugs and speculate what's been printed in MSM.

You can discuss the phone calls and texts from EA's phone to HF the night Christina disappeared.

He has not been named a POI, so tread carefully discussing him of possibly being involved in her disappearance.

If something changes we will revisit.

Pre-trial at 9am on Friday. Hope it doesn't get moved/cancelled again.

Bumping for Christina.

Me either.

Does anyone know WHY HF and his dad thought she would be at the casino?

I've always assumed HF was running some drugs up there and covered his real activities by passing out flyers about Christina. I don't think he ever did anything else to try to find her!

I have been checking in, nothing to add. It does my heart good to see the OP's on here. I so related to Christina (except I would have thrown HF to the curb real fast), but she was lively, could have been a smart business woman, and a good mother. She had 2 good ones in her life, that's for sure. I'm listening to Darryl Hall singing with Aaron Neville and thinking of this sweet girl.

Just now testing for hair? I know I read early on that EA had been seen using a shop vac to clean his car the day after Christina disappeared. Am I missing something?

JMO

Purely 100% speculation on this, but: a) I think they can determine from the root of the hair if the hair came from a deceased person or an alive person (throw back to Casey Anthony trial) and b) her mother said it's almost definite that the trial will be delayed because of this "new" evidence - they (the State) just bought themselves more time to find her and/or prove it was murder.

Delay of trial for November, while sounding upsetting, is hopefully a good thing. Sounds like some very compelling stuff is going on at the crime lab . :please:

Agree. While I am sad about the delay, it looks likes prosecutors are crossing the t's and dotting the i's. I think, while it might be a little ways off, conviction is eventual for EA. I'm also super curious about the phone calls and whether or not important information is in them.

No telling what he may have said, and it may be a big to-do about nothing. But I can't imagine that the court would disallow the use of those conversations. There is no legal "right to privacy" on a public phone conversation in prison. LE is allowed to snoop around and listen to what suspects say in public, without announcing they are listening. It's called gathering evidence.

This is good news, I don't mind when the trial takes place as long as he gets the injection MOO.

O/T you guys over the pond need to get on to congress or whoever and sort out your crimes labs taking 6 months to a year to test crucial DNA samples, over here in the UK it only takes 48 hours if not sooner to get results back maybe it's because of the size of our country but it shouldn't take sometimes a year to get DNA tests back IMO.

Thanks. I was just rereading the article again and this popped out at me:

"When Arochi decided to head out about 3:30 that morning, Christina said she’d walk with him to the parking garage. "

Not that it matters in the scheme of things, but I remember from a VI (I think) that Christina was ready to leave and EA jumped at the chance to walk her to her car. Am I wrong??

I don't remember what a VI said, but I do think that "jumped at the chance" is a fairly subjective statement that might simply be talk. Clearly one or the other (of EA and CM) was leaving at about 3:30, and the other decided to go at the same time - but imo them leaving together wouldn't have to have had any sort of significance.

Maybe CM asked if someone could walk her to her car and EA said, "Sure, I'll do it." (And if that's the case, one person's idea that in so doing he was "jumping at the chance" is another person's "EA politely offered to be a gentleman, when asked for his help.") Maybe he was leaving and she said let me go too. Maybe they were both about to leave and said let's go together. Maybe the others that were there do recall exactly how that went down, but if it turns out that no one from that night has a very specific memory of who initiated what (if anything) so that they walked together, that wouldn't surprise me at all.

One thing I found interesting in the article is that while it says CM's family doesn't rule it out, it notes "Police have said they found no evidence of drug use that night."

I agree. AND I think the defense is doing the best the can.... try to suppress all the spoken words of EA because: LIES. I would do the same if I were them.

Frustrating that it's taken them so long to test the shop vac.

And confused about whoever mentioned content of phone conversations. Maybe it was a different article or reference.

This is all so infuriating! I wish peace for her family and loved ones!!

ETA - thanks to all for contributing and keeping this moving for Christina

Not to make light of this situation but Maury Povich seems to be the only one who has a fast acting DNA lab.

Brittany Feagans from the Plano Star C has the best article I have had the chance to read so far. It tells one poor excuse (trying to find a loophole in desperation) why EA'S defense team doesn't want his hundreds of phone calls made from the jail used in his trial. Apparently they have not even been all translated yet but we all know EA has no common sense, like when he invited every news team in Dallas to his home to tell lies and play the victim. So I would have to bet he said a bunch of stupid stuff in the phone. Or his attorney would not care so much. Jmo

I still believe that EA is the guy, but could someone please explain why the police are just now initiating testing of this shop vac? The evidence has been in their possession for almost a year, it has been reported that there are detectives assigned to this case specifically.

I'm trying to figure out whether this means that they are not confident about the evidence that they already have accumulated, perhaps they just thought about testing this hair now, but that doesn't seem likely to me. A delay tactic possibly, if so, why?

IIRC, a VI had indicated last fall that EA had a shop vac with him at Sprint on the Saturday after CM disappeared and that he had brought it from home. Could it actually have been a Sprint owned shop vac? Either way, it still begs the question that if the VI was aware of it last fall, why wait until now to test hair in it?
