    Australia - Simone Quinlan, 33, Melbourne, 24 Aug 2015

This is my first time posting a new thread, so please excuse any errors

    • Missing since 24 August
    • Was last seen leaving a Melton, Melbourne petrol station where she'd purchased soft drink and cigarettes (edit: it looks as if she bought more than that to me, judging by the CCTV footage ... perhaps sweets or something also?)
    • Drives a blue Ford sedan
    • Was last seen wearing black track pants with a stripe down the side, a grey hooded sweatshirt with a white pattern on the front, and white sneakers
    • Has not used her phone, bank account or Facebook since going missing

Key points from the above articles:

    - Simone has two sons who she usually contacts every second day (but hasn't done so since going missing).

    - She had been living with a male friend, but before she went missing she was reaching out to friends for a place to stay.

    - Simone has apparently 'taken time out' in the past to deal with issues, and is known to be suffering from some issues at the current time; however, she has never been gone for so long.

    - The blue car she was traveling in - as per that pictured in the CCTV shots in the articles above - could hold a clue to her whereabouts as it is not known who owns this. [My own gut feel is that it's a Ford Falcon, 2003-2010 model, but I could be wrong!].

    - Curiously, she went to the petrol station twice - the first time at 10:20pm (when she drove through the forecourt); and then again 30 minutes later, at which point she parked at the front of the station and went in to buy the drink and cigarettes. Why didn't she stop and go in at 10:20pm? What was her reason for keeping on driving?

    - Her body language in the CCTV footage above is interesting - she seems very fidgety / nervous and paces a fair bit.

Looks like an AU Falcon to me for sure - I had one for years in that colour too. (RIP my car, it got sent to the wreckers in 2011).
And yes, her behaviour seems very anxious.

Wait, I think you mean the BA Falcon. It could be that model too, absolutely.

    From August:

    http://www.news.com.au/national/vict...735a16274650bd

Dylan Jez, 24, pleaded guilty to being an accessory to the murder of mother-of-two Simone Quinlan, whose burned body was found near Bendigo in Central Victoria days after she disappeared in August 2015.

Two others — her boyfriend Brendan Neil, 29, and Wayne Marmo, 25 — will stand trial for murder.
    September:

A man once charged with murdering a woman whose bashed and burned body was found in a Victorian mine shaft will be released from jail.

Dylan Jez, 24, was granted bail on Tuesday after prosecutors did not oppose his promise to the Victorian Supreme Court to reside in regional Victoria, remain drug-free, and put up a $150,000 surety.

Jez has been in custody since September last year.

In August he pleaded guilty to being an accessory to the murder of mother-of-two Simone Quinlan after a magistrate dropped a murder charge against him because of a lack of evidence.

He has yet to be sentenced.

What is it with ice-related murders and burning victims' remains? It's freaking gruesome!

Victorian mum ‘was tortured for hours’, witness tells court

A group of ice users sat smoking meth for three hours during a prolonged and bloody assault on a 33-year-old mother, a Melbourne court has heard.

A witness to the death of Melton woman Simone Quinlan told the Supreme Court of Victoria today that Ms Quinlan's boyfriend Brendan Neil tortured and tormented her on August 25, 2015.

She said she overheard a conversation between the two men during which Mr Marmo said to Mr Neil he had to "get rid of her" because "she's snitched before".

TS said she then accompanied Mr Marmo on a drive past Bendigo to find a mineshaft into which he and another friend dumped Ms Quinlan's body.

She said on the way, Mr Marmo pulled over and shot Ms Quinlan "maybe five" times.
